DTRO Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis Membrane For Sewage Treatment, Leachate From Garbage, DT Disc Guide Plate Assembly Membra
DT membrane technology, also known as Disc Tube Module technology, is divided into two categories: DTRO (Disc Tube Reverse Osmosis) and DTNF (Disc Tube Nanofiltration). It is a patented membrane separation module. This technology is specifically developed for the filtration and separation of high concentration feed solutions and has been successfully applied for nearly 30 years.
1. Structure of DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane module
The disc tube membrane module is mainly composed of RO membrane, guide plate, center pull rod, shell, various sealing components and connecting bolts at both ends of the flange. Stacking the filter membrane and guide plate together, fixing them with a central rod and end cap flange, and then placing them into a pressure resistant shell, forms a disc tube membrane component.
2. Working principle of DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane
After passing through the gap between the membrane stack and the shell, the liquid enters the bottom guide plate through the guide channel (as shown in Figure 2). The processed liquid flows rapidly through the filter membrane at a short distance, then reverses 180 degrees to the other membrane surface, and then flows into the next filter membrane, forming a tangential flow filtration from the circumference of the guide plate to the center of the circle, then to the circumference, and finally to the center of the circle on the membrane surface. The concentrated liquid flows out from the inlet flange. As the liquid flows through the filter membrane, the permeate is continuously discharged through the central collection tube. The concentrated liquid and permeate are isolated by an O-ring seal installed on the guide plate.
3. Characteristics of DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane technology:
• Avoid physical blockages
The DT component adopts an open flow channel design, with a wide effective flow channel for the material and liquid, avoiding physical blockage.
• Low degree scaling and pollution phenomena
By using a guide disc with convex support points, the material liquid forms a turbulent state during the filtration process, greatly reducing the occurrence of membrane surface scaling, pollution, and concentration polarization phenomena. This allows highly polluted water sources with SDI values up to 20 to remain uncontaminated.
• Long membrane service life
The DT membrane module effectively reduces membrane fouling, reduces membrane fouling, and has a long cleaning cycle. At the same time, the special structure and hydraulic design of DT make the membrane assembly easy to clean, and the flux recovery after cleaning is very good, thereby extending the membrane life. Practical engineering has shown that even in the direct treatment of leachate, the lifespan of DT membrane can be as long as 3 years or more, which is not achievable for general membrane treatment systems.
• Components are easy to maintain
The DT membrane module adopts standardized design and is easy to disassemble and maintain. Opening the DT module allows for easy inspection and maintenance of any filter membrane and other components. Maintenance is simple, and when the number of components is insufficient, the module allows for fewer membranes and guide plates to be installed without affecting the use of the DT membrane module. All maintenance work can be completed on site.
Application fields of DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane:
● High difficulty industrial wastewater treatment
● Treatment of leachate and leachate concentrate from garbage
Reverse osmosis concentrated water re concentration and reduction treatment
● Preparation of drinking water supply by desalination of seawater in the entire sea area
● Mobile drinking water supply for military camps and field operations
Emergency drinking water supply for natural disasters, water source pollution, etc
Application of process separation, purification, and concentration in the biopharmaceutical industry
DT (Disk Tube) membrane column utilizes the principle of reverse osmosis to separate, purify, and desalinate molecules in liquids. It can remove various organic or inorganic impurities, including heavy metals, ammonia, various organic and inorganic substances, and other harmful substances. DT membrane columns have high performance and low operating costs. Compared with traditional roll type reverse osmosis membrane mechanisms, DT membrane columns have higher recovery rates, open fluid channels, and are less prone to clogging and scaling.
When installed in a reverse osmosis system, the DT membrane column can operate under high SDI inlet water. The quality of the produced water is good and can be directly reused on the production site. The DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane does not require frequent replacement and has a service life of over 5 years.
The DT system DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane is widely used in the harmless treatment of garbage leachate, seawater desalination systems, and the reuse and harmless treatment of other highly polluting industrial wastewater.
The DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane is a treatment system for industrial wastewater, characterized by:
Can accept highly difficult to degrade wastewater, such as CODCr1000-20000mg/L and salt content 1000-20000mg/L
High recovery rate: 75% -90%
High performance and low cost: Operating cost per ton of water is less than 2 yuan
The inlet SDI can reach up to 6.5, and there is no possibility of pollution blockage in the system. The conductivity of the produced water can be as low as 100 μ s/cm
● Easy maintenance and upkeep
● Long membrane lifespan: 5-10 years
The DT membrane column DTRO disc tube reverse osmosis membrane is widely used in the treatment of leachate from garbage, zero discharge of industrial wastewater, and seawater desalination treatment in ships, warships, and other equipment. It has been successfully applied for more than 30 years, and the technology is very mature and reliable, with thousands of engineering cases worldwide. During the application process, PALL has accumulated rich engineering experience, continuously improved some defects of DT membrane columns, and perfected the design of optimized system devices, which has led to remarkable performance of PALL's DT membrane columns worldwide and is recognized as a leader in this field.
